SALVE REGINA DISABLED AND VULNERABLE AID Organization started under the Sisters of Our Lady of Kilimanjaro It was stated since 1997 Moshi Kilimanjaro Region. The Organization takes care to the children /youngsters with disabilities. It is managed to save Children/ youngsters in the 8 wards of five Districts, among seven in Kilimanjaro Region. These are Moshi municipal, Moshi Rural, Rambo, Hai, and Siha District.

The organization give services to the children from the early childhood after birth up to 25 years. It deals with all types of disabilities. That is blind deaf and dumb cripples mental retard autism personality disorders, Albinism, all types of paralysis and Low Vision. We are supporting them in Health, Education social aspect, livelihood and Empowerment without discrimination of religion, racial or color, the organization using CBR approach in its implementation of activities and delivering service to children and youngsters with disabilities in the project area. In doing so Salve Regina will continue working closely with different stakeholders includes local leaders, District and Regional Government officials, Parent, caregivers, relatives, Religious leaders, financial Institutions in order to ensure quality services are provided to our target group. In the last years plan, we provided services to CYWDs mostly in child development leaving behind enabling environment component. This year Salve Regina is planning to deal with both child development and enabling environment as we need to involve many actors as much as possible to ensure sustainability of services to CYWDs and the reduced stigma and discrimination towards PWDs.

GEOGRAPHICALLY

Kilimanjaro region is under the Mount Kilimanjaro the highest mountain in Africa

Northwards it is bounded by the hill of the Mount, south is bounded by Mwanga and Same district, West is bonded by Arusha region and East bounded by Taveta in Kenya country.

Kilimanjaro Region surrounded by contours and rivers which divided one place from another. With these contour it is hardly to cross from one place to another it should back to the main almost 15 to 20 kilometers road then start another root that. is why transport is expensive.
